You have an established attachment to the living, so you assume everyone does.

Whenever a creature that you can see is reduced to 0 hp or below, you can use your reaction to bind the spirit of that creature to another living creature, Haunting them. When a creature is haunted, it has disadvantage on all skill checks and saving throws.

Haunting lasts 1 minute unless the haunted creature is reduced to 0 hitpoints or lower. If this feature is used to Haunt a living creature with a spirit that was haunted as a living creature, the duration of the haunt is doubled.
