Prerequisite: Spellcasting or Pact Magic feature
You have learned how to modify and mutate the magic that you draw upon from the Weave to channel your spells, obtaining a mastery of the fundamentals of Weavebending. This mastery is represented by arcanum points, which allow you to alter certain elements of your spells. You have a number of arcanum points equal to half of the sum of all your levels in classes that have the Spellcasting or Pact Magic feature rounded down. You regain all expended points when you finish a long rest. With these points, you can use the following Weavebending effects when you cast a spell, but you can only use one Weavebending effect on a spell when you cast it, unless otherwise noted:
- Expansion. When you cast a spell that has an area of effect, you can spend up to 3 arcanum points to increase the spell's area of effect by 10 feet for each point spent. If the area of effect is a cylinder, you choose whether its radius or its height is increased.
- Extension. When you cast a spell that has a range of 30 feet or greater, you can spend up to 6 arcanum points to increase the range of the spell by 10 feet for each point spent.
- Inclusion. When you cast a spell that targets only one creature and doesn't have a range of self, you can spend a number of arcanum points equal to the spell's level to target a second creature in range with the same spell (1 arcanum point if the spell is a cantrip).
- Preservation. When you fail a Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration on a spell, you can use your reaction to spend 2 arcanum points to succeed instead. You can only use this effect once on the spell.
- You can use Preservation on a spell if you have already used a different Weavebending effect during the casting of the spell.
- Protraction. When you cast a spell that has a duration between 1 minute and 24 hours, you can spend 1 arcanum point to extend the spell's duration. If the spell's duration is less than 10 minutes, it becomes 10 minutes. If the spell's duration is between 10 minutes and 1 hour, it becomes 1 hour. If the spell's duration is between 1 hour and 8 hours, it becomes 8 hours. If the spell's duration is between 8 hours and 24 hours, it becomes 24 hours.
