Your abilities with a whip are honed to greater heights, allowing you to make better use of its unique properties. You gain the following benefits while wielding a whip:

• You deal an additional 1d4 slashing damage with whips.
• When you make a successful attack against a creature with a whip, you can attempt to grapple the creature. You can use your Acrobatics modifier instead of your Athletics modifier for the grapple check. If you successfully grapple the creature, you can also choose to pull the creature 5 feet closer towards you. You can not attack with the whip while you have a creature grappled by the whip.
• While grappling a creature within 5 feet of you with your whip, you can use your Action to make a second grapple check. If you succeed this grapple check, you can knock the creature prone for as long as they are grappled by your whip.
