You have gained a particular affinity for one element and become somewhat specialized in using spells that involve it. You choose one of the respective elemental affinities listed, allowing you to augment your respective spells in someway.
Scorched earth (fire): When casting an AoE attack spell that uses fire, you can cause the fire in an area to burn for just a bit longer. Any area that is hit by the flaming spell attack will continue burning until the beginning of your next turn and will now do the spells minimum attack damage if a target either enters the space, or is there at the beginning of its turn. If the spell does not have an area of effect, the one square in which their target is will still burn instead, assuming your attack landed; if not, nothing will be affected.
Static shock (lightning): After successfully being hit with a magical lightning spell, if the target attempts to move, it must roll a constitution saving throw equal to your spell save DC, if if fails, the shock will stop it from using its movement until its next turn
Snowman (Cold): When casting a cold spell with and AoE, a mound of snow appears in that same area. As a bonus action, you can then teleport to any space where your snow is but after doing so the snow will immediately melt. Still, the snow will melt in 5 minutes, regardless of the temperature. If the spell does not have an area of effect, the one square in which you target will still have snow on it instead, assuming your attack landed; if not, nothing will be affected.
