Boon of Defiance

Not wanting to submit to the plans that had been laid out for you, you defied your destiny by running away. In your defiance you grew, found love, and created a new destiny for yourself. Now you can defy whatever you face without running.

Whenever you expend a spell slot whilst in combat you gain a number of Defiance charges equal to the level of the expended spell slot. These charges reset to 0 when initiative ends. You can expend charges to use the following abilities:

Weave Defiance: You have studied the weave to the extent that you can sense it's flow. If others attempt to utilise the weave for themselves while in your range of influence, you can attempt to prevent them doing so even if they try to hide it.

When a spell is cast within 60ft of you, you can expend four charges to make an ability check with your spellcasting ability against a DC equal to 10 + the spell's level. On a success, the spell fails and has no effect. You can use this ability even if the casting of a spell is masked using subtle or a similar ability.

Control Defiance: You have been escaping the control of others your whole life but now you can defy their control and face them.

At the start of your turn, you can expend six charges to unleash a wave of Defiance in a 60ft radius. You and any creatures of your choice within that area can remove any one condition. This ability fails to activate on any creatures that are at 0 hit points or dead.

Death Defiance: As a daughter of Death you are very familiar with the force your father represented. You are able to see the impending death of those in your sights and prevent it's cold embrace.

If an attack, spell, or effect would kill a creature you can see, you can expend eight charges to prevent that attack, spell, or effect from affecting that creature.
