You were born under the sign of the Galley. Those born under this sign tend to value novelty, discovery, and will often strive to be the first to any situation. Galleys make excellent researchers, writers, or pirates. You gain the following benefits:
- Increase your Intelligence or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- Chart New Waters. When you perform one of the following as an action in combat, if no ally has taken that action yet, you gain the associated benefits:
Attack: You gain a +1 to hit until the start of your next turn. The first creature you hit with an attack gets a -1 penalty to AC until the start of your next turn.
Cast a spell: You may regain a spell slot of level X or lower, where X is half your profiency modifier.
Help: The ally you helped gains an extra attack, or may cast a cantrip as a bonus action instead of an action.
Dash: If you move more than 10 feet in a straight line, you may make a melee attack against a large or smaller creature within 5 feet of you. If you hit, that creature is knocked prone or knocked back a distance equal to your strength modifier (rounded down to the nearest 5; i.e., 8 becomes 5).
Disengage: You goad a creature within 5 feet to try and hit you. That creature loses its reaction.
Dodge: You gain an extra reaction until the start of your next turn.
Hide: The next attack you make does not reveal you.
