A gift meant to give you a taste of vampirism. You have access to some vampire-like features as well as some drawbacks:
- Undead Divination: Spells used to detect undead determine that while you are not undead, you do have a necromantic undead energy running throughout you and are able to detect you.
- Partial Undead: Attacks and items that damage undead differently, such as holy water or the Paladin's Divine Smite affect you in the same way. However, you are not affected by abilities not associated with damage, such as the Cleric's Turn Undead.
- Radial Weakness: You gain vulnerability to radiant damage.
- Necromantic Resist: You gain resistance to necrotic damage.
- Vampiric Bite: You get access to a natural weapon melee bite attack. This natural weapon uses dexterity to attack, and does 1d6 + your dex modifier necrotic damage to a living creature, but has no effect on undead or constructs. Half the damage rounded down that you deal to a creature with this bite attack, you gain as temporary hit points. This damage increases to 2d6 at 5th level, 3d6 at 11th level, and 4d6 at 17th level.
- Hunger Frenzy: After hitting an opponent with a bite attack, your speed is increased by +10 for the next 60 seconds.
- Agile Falling: When calculating damage dealt from falling, subtract 10 feet from the fall distance.
- Blood Drain: You may spend time to drink the blood from the body of a creature that has blood, and that died within the last hour. If the creature was infected with a disease or other such effect when they died, it is possible to contract the effect after ingesting the blood. Once you have completed the drinking process, you regain some health. This effect adjusts for the size of the creature: 30 seconds and 2hp for small sized creatures; 2 minutes and 4hp for medium sized creatures; 10 minutes and 8hp for large sized creatures; 30 minutes and 16hp for huge or larger sized creatures. This ability has no affect on tiny creatures. At 11th level the health regained from this ability doubles (small 4hp, medium 8hp, large 16hp, huge or bigger 32hp).
