Prerequisites: The character must have the Elemental Adept (Fire) feat and a minimum ability score of 13 in the ability that this feat modifies.

Description: This feat allows a character to channel their innate fire to enhance their next attack, but with a risk.

Benefits: When you use this feat, you can make a special attack with your next weapon attack. Your weapon becomes wreathed in fire, dealing an additional 1d6 fire damage on a hit. You can use this ability multiple times per turn, but for every time it is used, the DC increases by 1, starting at 1. Additionally, each time you use this ability, you must make a flat d20 roll. If you fail this roll, the fire damage is also dealt to yourself and the DC increases. The DC resets after three or four long rests.

Example Usage:

Goram the Barbarian, a character with the From the Ashes feat, decides to channel his inner fire to enhance his next attack. He declares that he will use the feat and makes a d20 roll. He rolls a 12, which is higher than the current DC of 1, so he successfully uses the feat. His greatsword becomes wreathed in fire, and he makes a weapon attack against a nearby orc. He rolls a 16 on the attack roll, which is a hit. The orc takes 1d6 + 1d6 (fire damage) + his strength modifier in damage.

Later in the same turn, Goram decides to use the feat again. He rolls a d20 for the DC increase and rolls a 15, which is higher than the current DC of 2. He successfully uses the feat again, and his greatsword becomes wreathed in fire once more. He makes a weapon attack against another orc, but this time he rolls a 7 on the attack roll, which is a miss. The fire damage is also dealt to himself, and the DC increases to 3.

The DC will continue to increase by 1 for every time Goram uses the feat until it reaches 4. At that point, the DC will reset to 1 after three or four long rests.
