Prerequisite: Level 3 or higher and a promotion of at least one rank

As a Watchman, you have two roles on any battlefield where the glory of Gogbaraxia is on the line. To make sure everything on the battlefield is known and known well, and to make sure battles are wrapped up promptly without too much expenditure of resources. While you are in combat no one can hope to ambush your allies, and no threat goes unknown under your careful gaze. Efficiency peaks when a Watchman is on the field and the amount of Victories for the Fatherland skyrockets. You gain the following features

  • Increase your Wisdom score by 2, to a maximum of 20
  • You gain proficiency in the perception, survival, or nature skill. If you are already proficient in one of these you may instead choose to double your proficiency for one of the skills of choice.
  • You can no longer be surprised, and have advantage on all perception-based checks while your Watches are on the field.

In addition, you gain the following ability:

Watches. Within a week or two after your promotion to a Watchman, you will receive four Watches from the Fatherland. A Watch is a small softball-sized drone that can be sent out within 150 feet of the controlling mechanism. While your Watches are on the battlefield you may move them on your turn as a bonus action. You are aware of all creatures within eyesight of your Watches, and if there are reflective surfaces on the battlefield suitable for ricochets these creatures cannot benefit from partial or full cover. As a bonus action on your turn you may report on all positions of creatures within the eyesight of your Watches to your allies through a means of communication decided with your DM, and as an action you may scan and report the condition of a creature within the eyesight of one of your Watches. The condition includes any conditions that are afflicting the monster currently, the remaining amount of health points the creature currently has, and the vague state of mind the creature appears to be in (i.e. angry, exhausted, confused). You may only scan creatures a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest or per usage of the Watches.
