Driven by an unyielding faith or an obsession with penance, you have learned to harness pain as a source of strength. You gain the following benefits:

• Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

• Martyr’s Endurance: When you take damage, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. These temporary hit points last until the start of your next turn.

• Penitent Resolve: When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

• Pain is Fuel: Whenever you are below half your hit point maximum, you have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
