Within the world of competition fighting, there exists a state of ebb and flow; a flow-state of back and forth that true fighters acknowledge, and adapt to. One cannot simply strike an opponent endlessly without the opponent getting a chance to strike back. The speed and power of one's moves, their toughness, and their agility all create openings to enable that ebb and flow to exist. It is also an immutable fact that if you destroy your opponent with your fist, they are no longer able to engage in that ebb and flow.
Understanding the flow of combat is what makes a competitive martial artist different from a mere animal. However... when one combines the skilled structure of the flow-state mentioned before, with the raw instinct of a true force of nature... the result is this: The Falling Star Fist. Reaching this level of enlightenment and understanding changes the fundamentals of your fighting style. No longer do you flail about, instead choosing quality over quantity. No longer do you desperately grasp for weaknesses that your foes may not have, instead letting natural forces do the work.
The Falling Star Fist style replaces the following monk features (listed in bold below) with new ones.
Flurry of Blows -> Star Crushing Combos: The Crusher Feat can be used any amount of times on your turn, and each time you subject a creature to forced movement with an attack, they take damage equal to double the amount they moved. This damage is doubled if that forced movement results in them impacting a surface (like a wall, floor, etc.) or being pushed through breakable objects (like windows, crates, pillars, etc.) before the end of that forced movement has been reached. If your forced movement causes creatures to fall, this falling damage counts towards this ability's forced movement rules as well.
Stunning Strike -> Falling Strike: You learn an advanced version of the hurl through hell ability. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with an attack during your turn you can use this feature to instantly transport the creature hit to an endless cliff, where you cast them off. They fall until the end of your turn, at which they reappear in the space they were previously in; or an unoccupied space closest to where they were. While falling, they cannot fly, hover, or otherwise stop the fall. When the creature reappears it hits the ground, taking maximum (20d6) falling damage. As mentioned above in the Star Crushing Combos ability, this falling damage is subject to doubling as if it were forced movement (total maximum damage of 40d6). This damage, as per normal falling damage rules, is considered non-magical bludgeoning damage. A creature who dies during this ability falls forever; trapped in this state until they are freed via a spell or ability that can enter interdimensional spaces, such as gate or wish.
Perfect Self -> Indomitable Self: Abilities and features that increase your maximum hit points give you twice as many hit points. Hit points from your Hit Dice and Constitution modifier are not effected by this ability (Artificial increases to your hit dice, or the size of your hit dice, are also not multiplied by this ability).
Aspect of the Wild -> Aspect of the Inevitable: The power of Life itself infuses every fiber of your being. Your legs are the deepest reaching roots. Your arms are branches that hold up a canopy that blots out the sun. Your body is the trunk of a World Tree unto itself. As a bonus action you may spend 3 Ki points to take on an 'avatar' form. You retain your humanoid shape, but otherwise the cosmetic change is up to your imagination. While in this form, your current and maximum hit points are doubled, and you may spend a Ki point at any time, as well as a Hit Die, to heal for the amount rolled on that spent Hit Die. Once per visage form, if you start your turn bloodied, you may enrage; you double all healing you receive, and you deal one additional die of damage with natural weapon attacks. This form ends when you hits zero hit points, or after one hour.
This change is permanent. The standard monk abilities listed here are forever changed into their new forms.
