You've learned to wield weapons differently than they're usually meant to, either via special training, unusual amounts of strength and or dexterity, or maybe you actually are using your weapons wrong.
Choose a weapon that you have proficiency with. If the weapon is a melee weapon, when you wield it, you may choose one of the following:
- Remove the Heavy or Two-Handed property
- Give the Finesse, Light, Reach, Thrown, or Versatile property. You cannot give the Light or Versatile property to a weapon that has the Two-Handed property (even if this feat would remove it). The range of the Thrown property is determined by its other properties. If it has the Light property, its range is (20/60), (15/30) if it has neither the Light nor Two-Handed property, and (10/20) if it has the Two-Handed property. The range can change from properties given or removed by this feat, and if the weapon has Reach, its short range is increased by 5 feet and its long range is increased by 10 feet. The damage of the Versatile property is determined by increasing the size of the weapon's damage die by one step, to a maximum of 1d12
- Gain the ability to change its damage type to bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing as a free action when you deal damage with it.
If the weapon is a ranged weapon, you may choose one of the following:
- Remove the Loading or Heavy property.
- Give it the Light property, assuming it does not have the Two-Handed property (even if this feat would remove it).
- Give it the ability to use Strength instead of Dexterity for attack and damage rolls, as well as the ability to make melee attacks, using either Strength or Dexterity, which deal bludgeoning damage equal to the die one step above the weapon's damage die, to a maximum of 1d12. If you give a ranged weapon this property, you may give it melee weapon properties via this feat, however they only affect the melee usage of the weapon.
This feat can be taken multiple times, however, you should check with your DM before taking this feat each time, and make sure that they know what you're choosing and what it entails, as this feat can have a major impact on your character's combat strength.
