Improved Grappler Image
Prerequisite: Strength 13 or higher

You’ve developed the skills necessary to hold your own in close-quarters grappling. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Strength or Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature you are grappling, and on Athletics (Strength) checks to grapple.
  • You can use your action to try to pin a creature grappled by you. To do so, make another grapple check. If you succeed, you and the creature are both restrained until the grapple ends.
  • As an attack action, while grappling a creature you may make an unarmed attack against a grappled creature as part of the attack action without losing the restrained condition.
  • As an attack action, while grappling a creature, you may chose to roll a Athletics (Strength) Check to pickup and slam the grappled creature. This check is made using the calculation for carry capacity based on your size, and is made against the grappled creature's weight. Upon success, this deals damage equal to 2d6 plus your Strength Modifier, and gives the grappled creature the prone. If you fail this check, the grappled creature looses the restrained and grappled condition, and may make an opportunity attack against you using their unarmed strike. If the grappled creature is one Size larger than you, roll at disadvantage, if more than one size larger, the check automatically fails. This check is unaffected by advantage given to attack rolls by this feat.
