Anima: Gae Bolg

A power hidden deep within Okami's soul has now awoken. A weapon that pierces destiny itself, Gae Bolg.

As a Bonus Action, while you have a free hand, you can manifest a Mystical and Magical Pike to aid you in battle, Gae Bolg. You have a +4 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with Gae Bolg. In addition, Gae Bolg ignores resistance to piercing damage. It has the Thrown Property of 150/300ft and will magically manifest in your hand after it reaches it maximum range or if you choose to summon it back (no action required). If thrown, you can choose to have it tear through targets and keep flying in a straight line until it hits an object/surface. Multiple targets hit this way will have their attack rolls made individually. Gae Bolg has the ability to destroy structures made of force, such as those created by Forcecage or Wall of Force. Striking a Large or smaller structure of magical force with this Gae Bolg automatically shatters that structure. If the target is a Huge or larger structure of force, this weapon shatters a 20-foot-cube portion of it. When you attack a creature and roll a 20 on the attack roll using Gae Bolg, you skewer out the creature's heart (if any) or you tear off one of the target's limbs, with the effect of such a loss determined by the GM. If the creature has no limb to tear, you tear off a portion of its body instead. The creature dies if it can't survive without the lost heart. A creature is immune to this effect if it is immune to piercing damage, doesn't have or need a heart, has legendary actions, or the GM decides that the creature is too big for its heart to be cut out with this weapon. Such a creature instead takes an extra 6d8 magical piercing damage from the hit. As a Bonus Action, you can dismiss Gae Bolg, where it will dematerialize and lay dormant as energy stored in your body. In areas of Antimagic, it functions as a +3 Pike.
