Prerequisite: Requires a Charisma and Intelligence score of at least 13.
In the face of demonic power, most heroes see death but Warlocks see only opportunity. Dominance is their aim and they have found a path to it in the dark arts. These spellcasters summon demonic minions that will beside them. They command only the service of imps at first but as a warlock’s knowledge grows, various other creatures join the dark sorcerer’s ranks to wreak havoc on anyone who stands in their master’s way.
- Summon Imp: During a long rest you may summon a small demon known as a Lesser Imp. This demon is not happy to have been summoned, has its own name (which you learn upon summoning it) and personality but is forced to treat you as an ally. You control the demon so long as it remains within 15 feet of you. The demon acts on the same initiative as you. If the demon is ever further than 15 feet of you, it regains its autonomy and may lash out or flee. Control is reassumed over the demon if you return to be within 15 feet of the demon. You can use the demon's action to cast a cantrip using your own spell casting ability, however the cantrip deals half damage. If you verbally refer to the demon as any name other than its true name, it permanently breaks free of your control (this effect is magical, the demon does not have to hear you reference it by another name, and becomes immediately aware of its freedom once you lose control and will act accordingly).
- Health Funnel: As an bonus action you may transfer any amount of hit points from a Summoned Demon that is under your control to yourself. If you the demon you control would be reduced to 0 hit points this way you absorb it entirely into yourself, gaining the ability to read and write infernal indefinitely if you hadn't already known infernal. Furthermore, you must make a Sanity Saving Throw. Upon a failure, the DM will determine a negative effect associated with the failure.
