You have begun gaining discipline while in battle and gain one of the following cognomens:

• Ambustus: Meaning "Burnt". Once per short rest, as an action, you may create a fiery explosion around you. All creatures within a 15 ft. radius of you, including yourself, must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d6 plus your Strength modifier fire damage, and on a successful save it takes half that damage.

• Balbus: Meaning "Stutterer". Once per long rest, when casting a 3rd level spell or lower, you may choose to cast it twice during one action or bonus action, whichever it requires. Doing so requires double the material components and consuming two spell slots of the spell's level.

• Habitus: Meaning "In Good Shape". Once per short rest, you may use the Dash action as a bonus action instead of an action.

• Strabo: Meaning "Squinty". Once per long rest, you may double the range of one ranged or spell attack.
