Lycanthropy Image

You have survived an attack by one of the world's most savage and feared mythical monstrosities. Unfortunately, they struck a powerful blow and you yourself have become infected. You feel a bit sore, but not too different.

Lycanthropic Humanoid
  • Your STR, DEX, and CON scores increase by 2, this can increase them beyond 20.
  • You have ADV on Saving Throws against poisons and the "Poisoned" condition, unless the poison is made with Silver in which case you make the Save at DISADV.
First Night

Under the light of the first full moon since your infection, you are transformed into your full lycan form. Your skin tears away, your muscles bulge and you transform into a half-humanoid-half animal monster, generally in the form of whatever were-being the creature that infected you takes, though you may also decide.

Lycan Form

In your lycan form, you gain the following benefits and features.

  • Lycan Physiology. Your STR, DEX, and CON increase by 3 (in addition to the +2 from earlier in this feat).
  • Lycan Weaponry. Your gain two Unarmed Strike options: Claws and Teeth, which are Magical +2 Melee Weapons using either your STR or DEX modifiers, your choice. Your Claws use Slashing damage and your Teeth use Piercing.
  • Lycan Reflexes. You have ADV on STR and DEX Saving Throws.
  • Lycan Athleticism. You have Proficiency with STR, DEX, and CON Saving Throws (if you don't already have it) as well as Strength (Athletics) and Dexterity (Acrobatics).
    • If you already have Proficiency with Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics), you may double your Proficiency Bonus (giving you Expertise) for that skill.
    • If you are making a Saving Throw against a poison that is made with Silver, you make the Save at DISADV.
  • Lycanskin. You have Resistance to both Magical and Non-Magical Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage. However, Attacks from Weapons made with Silver are not halved. While not wearing armor, your base AC is equal to 14 plus your DEX modifier.
  • Lycan Senses. You have ADV on Wisdom (Perception) Checks that rely on your Sight, Hearing, or Smell.
  • Pack Tactics. You have stacking ADV on Attack Rolls against creatures for each ally currently surrounding or harrowing your target. This stacks once with the normal ADV from Flanking.
  • Regeneration. You regain 1d8+CON modifier Hit Points at the beginning of each of your turns. If you are "Unconscious" from dropping to 0 Hit Points, you only heal on every second turn since you were downed. Meaning, the first turn after you are knocked down, you do not heal, but you will on your next turn following it. Also, you only receive healing and regain consciousness if you roll a 5 or higher on the d8. Attacks with Silvered Weapons that damage you halt this regeneration for one round. If you have been poisoned by Silver, you do not regenerate until the poison is cleared from your system entirely. If you fail 3 Death Saving Throws before regaining Hit Points, you revert to your humanoid form and are unconscious, regardless of healing, for 1 hour. When you wake up, you have effectively taken a Short Rest and may roll Hit Die to regain HP and return to consciousness.
  • If you Die by failing 3 Death Saving Throws while your Regeneration is halted by Silver, you revert to your humanoid form and die.
  • Vicious Hunter. You score a Critical Hit with your Lycan Weaponry on a 19 or 20 on the d20.
  • Ferocious Hunter. Critical Hits with your Lycan Weaponry cause the target to being Bleeding, and take 1 Bleed damage at the beginning of each of their turns.
  • Bloodlust. You have ADV on Attack Rolls with your Lycan Weaponry on Bleeding targets, which stacks with other sources such as Pack Tactics and normal Flanking. While you are within 250ft of a significant presence of blood or a Bleeding creature, you have DISADV on all INT and WIS Checks and Saving Throws.
    • If you Score a Critical Hit on a Bleeding creature, you must make a DC 20 WIS Save or become "Frenzied."
Frenzied

You are overcome by your curse, and you must hunt and feed.

While "Frenzied", your INT and WIS drop to 5 and you must use your Lycan Weaponry to attack nearby creatures, and you will specifically target a Bleeding creature. You make all INT and WIS Saving Throws at DISADV. You may make the Saving Throw again at the end of each of your turns in combat. However, if you are not in combat, you repeat the save once an hour. A Natural 20 on this save will break the Frenzy. You also are released from the frenzy if you become unconscious and remain unconscious for at least an hour or at the end of a five hour period, at which point you revert to your humanoid form and are unconscious for 8 hours. When you regain consciousness, your INT and WIS are restored to normal, but you gain 2 Levels of Exhaustion. You must complete a new Long Rest to cleanse yourself of 1 Level of this Exhaustion.

Every night for the next 28 days until the next full moon, you make a DC 20 WIS Saving Throw to resist transforming into your Lycan form and becoming "Frenzied." If you slip into another Frenzy before completing your Long Rest, your Exhaustion at the end of this Frenzy stacks with your other Exhaustion levels. However, you cannot die from this Exhaustion, regardless of how many stacks you get.

The Curse Sets In

If you knock any mortal humanoid creature unconscious or kill them while in these Frenzies during your first month with the curse, you will become lost to the Frenzy. You are permanently Frenzied and stuck in your Lycanthrope form.

However, if you make it through the whole month and do not succumb to the Frenzy, you gain the ability to transform between your Lycan Form and Humanoid Form at will, requiring your action. Your Lycan Weaponry can still curse others. If you kill any mortal humanoid before their first night with the curse, you kill them outright and they do not transform into a Lycanthrope.
