Prerequisite: Requires a Wisdom and Intelligence of 13 or higher

"Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory." - Some famous explorer of crypts and caves

You are an experienced explorer of ancient ruins and lethal dungeons, trained to notice subtle dangers and survive traps that would cripple others.
You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to detect hidden doors, secret compartments, traps, and other dungeon hazards.
  • You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) and Intelligence (History) checks made to navigate, orient yourself within, or find an exit from a dungeon, ruin, or similar enclosed environment.
  • You have resistance to damage dealt by traps.
  • While travelling at a fast pace, you don’t suffer the normal –5 penalty to your passive Wisdom (Perception) score.
  • When a trap is triggered, you can use your reaction to employ your hard-earned instincts, such as quickly diving out the way, shoving an ally aside, yelling at someone to duck, or as you like. You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. When you use this reaction, choose one of the following effects:
    • A creature of your choice, including yourself, within 10 feet of you halves the damage it takes from the triggering trap.
    • A creature of your choice, including yourself, within 10 feet of you gains advantage on any saving throw made to avoid or resist the effects of the triggering trap.
  • The range increases to 20 feet at 7th level, and 30 feet at 14th level.
