The nature of Astral energy also makes you sensitive to disruptions in the natural fabric of the universe.
You are aware if someone opens a portal within 1 mile of you due to the scattering of astral energies. Additionally, you are aware of someone teleports within 60 feet of you due to the same scattering effect made by rips in the fabric of reality. You have advantage when trying to sense magical probes such as those implemented by spells like Scrying. This fundamental sense of the astral energies around you will serve as a foundation for Astral magic should you choose to advance it, such as for the purposes of using Astral mana to recharge spell slots rather than relying on Blue Ether.
