Prerequisite: The ability to cast at least one spell
Your practice with magic gives you an edge on lesser spellcasters. You gain the following benefits:
- When you use your bonus action to cast a spell, you may use your action to cast another, provided it is of 4th level or lower.
- When you take the Ready action to cast a spell and don't end up casting the spell, you can make a saving throw with your spellcasting ability to retain the spell slot. DC = 15 + the level of the spell you readied. On a success, you retain the spell slot and cannot cast any spell other than a cantrip for one round. On a failure, you lose the spell slot as normal.
