Description: Astral Cartography is a rare and ancient skill practiced by those who possess an innate connection to the cosmos and the various planes of existence. This skill allows the practitioner to map and understand the ever-shifting constellations and celestial bodies that not only exist in the Prime Material Plane but also in the Feywild, Shadowfell, and other planes of existence.

Effect:

• Plane Mapping: The practitioner can spend 1 hour meditating under the open sky, during which they can attune themselves to the stars and constellations of a specific plane. Once attuned, they can create a map that charts the positions of significant celestial bodies and ley lines within that plane. This map can be used to navigate or to perform certain planar rituals.

• Planar Convergence: With a successful Arcana check (DC determined by the DM), the practitioner can detect points of convergence where the stars between the planes align. These points can indicate areas where the veil between worlds is thin, revealing portals, fey crossings, or other planar anomalies.

• Stellar Insights: By studying the stars, the practitioner can gain insights into future events or significant occurrences in different planes. This functions similarly to the Augury spell, but with a focus on planar events.

Prerequisites:

• Proficiency in Arcana and Nature.
• Access to a clear night sky or a magical representation of the stars (e.g., an enchanted observatory or a magical artifact).
• A deep understanding of planar cosmology, often requiring years of study or an innate gift.

Usage:

• Navigational Aid: The maps created through Astral Cartography can be used to navigate through the dangerous and ever-changing terrain of the Feywild or Shadowfell.
• Planar Rituals: The skill can enhance rituals that require precise knowledge of the stars, such as summoning or banishing spells that target specific planes.
• Avoiding Planar Traps: The practitioner can detect dangerous or unstable areas in the multiverse, allowing them and their allies to avoid traps or ambushes set by planar beings.
