Prerequisite: Druid level 6
Benefit: You can choose an aquatic creature as your Wild Shape form. When you transform into this aquatic creature, its form undergoes a significant change due to your icy nature. Outside of water, your transformation solidifies into a bipodal or quadrupedal version of the creature, taking on a frosty, golem-like appearance.
Transformation Effects:
- Frosted Adaptation: When in your chosen aquatic form outside of water, it becomes encased in an icy, glass-like exoskeleton. This provides you with temporary resistance to cold damage and grants you an additional 1d4 cold damage on melee attacks.
- Spider Climb: The ice on your limbs allows you to climb surfaces with ease. You gain the ability to move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and ceilings, as if under the effect of the Spider Climb spell.
- Enhanced Mobility: Your swim speed is converted into a walk/run speed equal to the original swim speed of the aquatic creature.
- Bipodal/Quadrupedal Form: Your aquatic form adapts to a more stable bipodal or quadrupedal stance outside of water, enhancing your mobility and strength on land. This form allows you to maintain a semblance of your aquatic agility while adding the strength and stability necessary to survive and thrive in colder, terrestrial environments.
- Glacial Shards: The icy transformation causes shards of frost or glass to appear on your body, providing a natural armor that adds +1 to your AC and can deter melee attackers. When struck, these shards can deal 1d4 cold damage to the attacker.
Drawbacks:
- Bludgeoning Vulnerability: In this frosty, golem-like state, you become vulnerable to bludgeoning damage. The icy exoskeleton is less effective at absorbing impacts from blunt force attacks.
- Connection to the Sixth Floor: The strength and power of your transformation are dependent on your strong connection to the sixth floor of your campaign. If you are separated from or cut off from this connection, the benefits of the feat might be diminished.
Description: Your connection to the icy vastness allows you to transform into aquatic creatures with a unique frosty adaptation. Outside of water, your chosen aquatic form becomes a more land-adapted version with enhanced mobility, the ability to climb surfaces effortlessly, and strikes infused with cold. This transformation provides you with a formidable presence both in icy and terrestrial environments, blending aquatic agility with frosty resilience.
