Herald of the Forge is a divine feat bestowed only upon those who have been chosen by the divine artisans of the celestial realms. This rare title transforms the bearer into a vessel for crafting and destruction alike, allowing them to harness the unquenchable flames of creation. Through this feat, the Herald channels celestial power into miraculous forges and blazing infernos, simultaneously a master builder and a fearsome warrior, wrapped in the gift of divine fire. Their presence on the battlefield or in creation blurs the lines between mortal ingenuity and divine intervention.
Blessing of Endless Flame. As a Herald of the Forge, you can summon a divine forge anywhere. Once per long rest, you can conjure a spectral forge that burns with celestial fire. You can craft an item as though you had full access to forge materials and advanced tools. The Forge lasts for 24 hours then fades to ash.
Shields of Molten Steel. You automatically gain resistance to fire and radiant damage. When struck by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to cause lava-like molten steel to spill from your wounds, dealing 3d6 fire damage to the attacker. Additionally, this reaction instantly solidifies a 5 ft radius of molten steel around you, imposing disadvantage on melee attacks made against you until the end of your next turn.
Flames of Creation. You can use divine fire to empower your creations permanently. Once per week, you may infuse an item you craft with divine sparks of the forge, allowing you to permanently enchant the item as though with a 3rd level spell of your choosing (DM's discretion). This effect does not require spell slots, and the magical effect becomes a permanent feature of the item unless it is destroyed. However, to perform this ritual, you must spend 48 continuous hours tending a forge without interruption.
Anvil Guardian’s Fury. When fighting to defend your forge or crafting space, you are unstoppable. When within 60 ft of any type of forge, you gain a +3 bonus to AC, advantage on Strength and Constitution saving throws, and can make two additional opportunity attacks per round. Additionally, if you deal fire or radiant damage in defense of the forge, the damage cannot be reduced by resistance or immunity.
