You have learned how to modify a melee weapon to incorporate gunfire into its design and convert it into a Gunblade. If you lose your gunblade, or wish to create a additional one, you can create a new one over the course of time relevant to the rarity of the items being used (see crafting guidelines for DC and time.) by combining a slashing weapon and firearm parts (this will consume the firearm and melee weapon).
This process is used to create a Gunblade, a melee slashing weapon with a firearm built in and retains the properties of both weapons (as well as it is still considered a melee martial weapon and firearm). The most commonly used melee weapons are a Longsword or Greatsword for this conversion but if your DM approves, you could turn any kind of weapon into a Gunblade. Magic weapons may also require extra time to convert or assistance to complete the modifications at your DM's discretion and following crafting guidelines.
Benefits:
- You gain proficiency with Gunblades.
- This process cannot be reversed.
- Quick Shot, when you use the Attack action and attack with a melee Gunblade Weapon Attack, you can use a bonus action to attack with a ranged attack with a Gunblade if it is loaded.
