Herald of the Time marks an adventurer as chosen by an ancient deity of time, fated to preserve (or unravel) the continuity of events across the ages. The warrior is imbued with the cosmic threads of destiny, often experiencing glimpses of past, present, and distant futures in dreams and visions. Their connection to the divine essence of time offers unique boons that enable them to bend the flow of moments around them, but at the cost of eternal vigilance, for any change they make could cause ripples across reality.
Warden of Temporal Flow. You gain the ability to slow down or accelerate time within a 30-foot radius for up to 1 minute. As a bonus action, you can choose to give all creatures within the area disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws for the duration (slowed), or allow them to take an additional action during their turn (hasten). You can use this ability once per long rest.
Time’s Inevitable Will. When you take damage and are reduced to zero hit points, you may invoke Time’s Inevitable Will. Instead of falling unconscious, you are restored to 1 hit point and enveloped in a shimmering aura of chronal energy. For 5 rounds, you are immune to all damage and effects of spell conditions, but at the end of this time, you are banished from the current timeline for one hour, during which time you cannot act, speak, or be interacted with in any way. When you return, 1 hour will have passed for you.
Protector of the Continuum. You gain an otherworldly insight that allows you to understand the delicate intricacies of time itself. Whenever an enemy attempts to cast a spell that manipulates time (such as *Time Stop* or *Haste*), you can use your reaction to attempt to counter it with a Wisdom (Insight) check against their spell save DC. On a success, the spell fizzles out as if the caster had lost concentration.
Rewind Fate. Once per week, you can reverse the flow of time within a localized event. As an action, you can force a time loop for the last 6 seconds (1 round) of combat or any event, returning everyone and everything in a 100-foot radius to their exact state at the start of that time. Everyone except you remembers the previous 'loop,' but no one can interact with the past except by actions that were altered in the replay. This ability can negate conditions, restore hit points lost moments before, and alter decisions instantly, but it cannot affect events that occurred outside that 6-second period.
