The Herald of the Famine God is a disturbing and extreme feat that grants the user unmatched power to channel the essence of famine itself. Becoming a vessel for the Famine God, the adventurer can spread famine and starvation over vast territories. Those who take on this mantle wield unimaginable power over the natural world, capable of inducing drought, withering crops, and drying bodies of water, all at the whim of their deity. However, this vile power comes at an extreme cost, causing the herald themselves to suffer, becoming emaciated and hollowed the longer they remain tapped into the unbearable hunger of their god.
Plague of Starvation. Once per day, you may curse an area up to a 1-mile radius to suffer from a supernatural famine. For 24 hours, food in this area spoils, and all attempts to grow, harvest, or hunt fail automatically. Sentient beings within this radius must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of every hour they spend inside the affected area or suffer 1 level of exhaustion. These levels of exhaustion can only be removed through magical means, such as Greater Restoration.
Drought's Embrace. By invoking the Famine God's will, you can create drought conditions over a natural body of water up to a 500-foot radius. The water evaporates into a thick, acrid mist, reducing any body of water within range to a crystalline basin of dry earth. The mist can be harnessed, once per casting, to form a thick cloud of toxic vapors. Any creature that enters it must roll a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 4d12 poison damage and suffer from 'poisoned' status for 1 hour.
Grasp of Withering Hunger. You have the ability to drain nourishment from nearby living beings. As a bonus action once per short or long rest, you can select a 15-foot radius area. Creatures within that radius must roll a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or take 6d6 necrotic damage and have their Strength and Constitution scores reduced by 1d4 for 24 hours. This damage cannot reduce their ability scores below 6. You temporarily feed on this stolen vitality, gaining temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt.
Emaciated Form. Your connection to the Famine God begins to physically manifest. Your body becomes thin, gaunt, and frail. As long as you remain in this increasingly emaciated form, you cannot regain hit points through non-magical means (including rest or potions). However, your emaciated state grants you unnatural resilience to external forces. You have advantage on saving throws against poison and disease, and resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
