Becoming Rooted does not count as an official level of sorcery. Although some specialized features are available, sorcery points and other specific sorcerer and sorcerer subclass features are not. If you later decide to multiclass into sorcerer, the features gained from becoming Rooted remain in addition to whatever sorcerer subclass perks you gain.
