You have an innate connection to the divine energies within precious gems, allowing you to enhance your holy symbol's power through careful crafting.
Initial Feat
- You gain proficiency with jeweler's tools.
- You can attempt to enhance a gem for your holy symbol once per long rest.
- Choose one gem type to focus on: Healing, Elemental, Damage, or Utility.
- Your holy symbol can hold up to 5 enhanced gems at a time.
Gem Enhancement
To enhance a gem, make a Wisdom (Religion) check. The DC starts at the level-appropriate value and decreases by 1 for each successful check. Track your progress using the provided Resonance Chart.
Resonance Chart
| Level | Starting DC | Current DC | Failures |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 14 | [ ] | [ ] |
| 2 | 15 | [ ] | [ ] |
| 3 | 16 | [ ] | [ ] |
| 4 | 18 | [ ] | [ ] |
| 5 | 20 | [ ] | [ ] |
Fill in the "Current DC" after each attempt and mark failures. When the Current DC reaches 5, you unlock the next level. After 5 failures, reduce the DC by 1.

Progression and Requirements
- Each enhancement level requires the gem listed for that level.
- You must complete all previous levels before attempting a higher level.
- You can work on enhancing multiple gem types simultaneously, but can only attempt one enhancement per long rest.
Additional Rules
- A successful check reduces the Current DC by 1 (minimum 10 for future attempts, but still progresses downward).
- If you fail an enhancement check, the gem's value is halved, and it becomes unusable for further enhancements.
- After 5 failures at a level, reduce the Current DC by 1.
- You can change your chosen gem type when starting a new enhancement, but progress on previous gems is preserved.
- The enhanced gem must be incorporated into your holy symbol to gain its benefits. No more than 5 gems can be used as a focus. Switching a focus requires attunement during a long rest.
