Eldritch Culinary Arts

You've learned to infuse your cooking with the essence of your Great Old One patron, creating meals that enhance your warlock abilities.

Initial Feat

• You gain proficiency with cook's utensils.
• At the end of a long rest, you can prepare one eldritch soup and one eldritch entrée.
• You can consume each dish as a bonus action, gaining its effects for 8 hours.
• You must master each level 5 times before unlocking the next level.

Ingredient Harvesting and Dish Preparation

To harvest ingredients, make a Charisma (Survival) check against the DC listed for the dish level. To prepare a dish, make a Charisma (Cook's Utensils) check against the same DC. Each successful preparation counts towards mastering that level.

Eldritch Soups (Utility Effects)

Level 1 Soups

1. Mindflayer Mushroom Soup: Gain advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks.
2. Aboleth Algae Broth: Understand and speak one additional language of your choice for the duration.
3. Gibbering Mouther Bisque: Gain blindsight with a range of 30 feet.

Level 2 Soups

1. Beholder Eye Chowder: Your telepathic communication can now reach up to 10 creatures simultaneously within 30 feet.
2. Star Spawn Stew: Cast Detect Magic at will without expending a spell slot.
3. Elder Brain Broth: Gain advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks and Intelligence saving throws.

Level 3 Soups

1. Astral Dreadnought Consommé: You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed for the duration of the effect. This flight is magical and does not require wings. onc per long rest
2. Neothelid Noodle Soup: You can cast Sending once without expending a spell slot, and the recipient's reply, if any, is telepathic.
3. Void Scavenger Vegetable Soup: You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Level 4 Soups

1. Outer God Gumbo: You can see invisible creatures and objects as if they were visible.
2. Eldritch Abomination Bouillabaisse: You can understand and speak all languages for the duration.
3. Cosmic Horror Chowder: You are immune to the frightened condition and have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.

Level 5 Soups

1. Great Old One Goulash: Gain the ability to see and interact with ethereal creatures.
2. Azathoth's Ambrosia: Cast Scrying once without expending a spell slot or material components.
3. Yog-Sothoth's Yogurt: You have advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws, and you can add your Charisma modifier to any Intelligence or Wisdom check you make.

Eldritch Entrées (Warlock-Enhancing Effects)

Level 1 Entrées

1. Eldritch Blast Bolognese: Your eldritch blast deals an additional 1d4 force damage.
2. Gibbering Meatball Marinara: Once per long rest, you can cast one additional cantrip on your turn.
3. Mindflayer Meat Pie: Your spell save DC increases by 1.

Level 2 Entrées

1. Beholder Eye Pie: The range of your eldritch blast increases by 30 feet.
2. Star Spawn Sushi: Once per short rest, you can cast any warlock spell you know using its base level without expending a spell slot.
3. Elder Brain Enchiladas: At the start of each of your turns, you gain temporary hit points equal to your warlock level.

Level 3 Entrées

1. Astral Dreadnought Stew: Once per long rest, you can create an antimagic field (as per the spell) centered on yourself for 3 rounds. This doesn't affect your own spells or magical abilities.
2. Neothelid Noodles: Your spells ignore resistance to psychic damage, and creatures immune to psychic damage instead have resistance to your spells' psychic damage.
3. Void Scavenger Stir-Fry: When you deal damage with a warlock spell, you regain hit points equal to half the spell's level (rounded up).

Level 4 Entrées

1. Outer God Omelette: You can cast your warlock spells without verbal components.
2. Eldritch Abomination Entrée: Your spell save DC increases by 2, and you gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls.
3. Cosmic Horror Casserole: Once per short rest, when you cast a warlock spell, you can cast it as if you had used a spell slot one level higher than the slot you expended.

Level 5 Entrées

1. Great Old One Goulash: Once per long rest, you can cast any warlock spell you know without expending a spell slot.
2. Azathoth's Ambrosia: Your spells and eldritch blast ignore all damage resistances and immunities.
3. Yog-Sothoth's Yogurt: You can perceive normally in magical darkness and have advantage on saving throws against illusions.

Additional Rules

• A failed Charisma check means you couldn't harvest enough ingredients or prepare the dish. This consumes the ingredients and herbs/spices.
• The monster ingredient must come from a creature of the appropriate CR range.
• You can only benefit from one soup and one entrée at a time.
• To unlock a new level, you must successfully prepare and consume dishes of the previous level five times. Each successful  creation of a dish lowers the DC by 1 on the next time to a minimum of DC 10.  The chef may now 4 recopies in total.  Learning a new recipe removes the DC pluses for the old if the old recipe is to be tried again.
