Imitate Magic

After enduring magical attacks, you’ve developed the ability to retaliate with your enemy’s own spells.

• When you are targeted by a spell and take damage from it, you can use your reaction to take double the damage dealt by the spell. In return, you gain the ability to cast that same spell for the next 3 turns, even if it is not on your spell list.
• You may cast this spell using a spell slot one level higher than your highest available spell slot.
• This ability can be used twice per long rest.

Example: A creature attacks you with Eldritch Blast and deals 4 damage. You can use your reaction to take 8 damage, and for the next 3 turns, you may cast Eldritch Blast.
