A racial ability granted to all Dragonborn at birth, but they must choose to train to learn how to use this power. Elemental damage type is decided upon in relation to specific dragon ancestry of the character.
Dragon’s Breath
-Action
-Ranged: Cone 15ft / Line 30ft
-Target: All creatures within area
-Enemy Saving Throw: Modifier used changes based on type of breath weapon. (fire=con, psychic=int, etc.) DC 15. On a failed save enemies take full damage. On a successful save; half damage.
-Damage: 2d6 + prof bonus
-Residual damage: 1d6. Any target creatures that fail the save also take residual elemental damage from the breath weapon, which compounds each round. No save against the residual damage. Only roll for the residual damage for the first attack, no need to roll for each turn. Enemy continues to take the same damage amount. Residual damage increases to 2d6 at level 10.
-Once per encounter, if flanked the player can use the breath weapon as a free action. Recharges after a short rest.
The breath bonus and hit die level accordingly:
Level 1: 2d6
Level 5: 4d6
Level 10: 6d6
Level 15: 8d6
Level 20: 10d6
The residual damage die level accordingly:
Level 1: 1d6
Level 10: 2d6
At 10th level, the range increases to Cone 30ft / Line 50ft
