Last Resort: Redemption's Fury

• Paladin Exclusive
• Haunted Hero exclusive

• Trigger: When character's hit points drop below 20% of his maximum HP (at level 4, this would be 8 HP or lower), he taps into his deep-seated guilt and sense of duty to unleash a final burst of strength.

• Effect:

  • Bonus Action: On his turn, character can use a bonus action to activate Redemption's Fury.
  • For the next 1 minute (10 rounds), character gains the following benefits:
    1. +2 to Attack Rolls: Fueled by his desperation, his strikes become more precise and forceful.
    2. Advantage on Strength Saving Throws: Character's sheer determination allows him to resist being knocked down or restrained.
    3. Temporary HP: character gains temporary hit points equal to 10 + his Constitution modifier (for a total of 13 temporary HP at level 4).
    4. Divine Smite: During this time, character can use Divine Smite without expending spell slots, dealing 1d8 extra radiant damage on weapon attacks (in addition to his normal damage and smites).

• Duration: This ability lasts for 1 minute or until Gideon is knocked unconscious, whichever comes first.

• Recharge: Once used, Redemption's Fury can only be activated again after completing a long rest.

• Debuff: Weight of Broken Oaths

The Relic of Shattered Oaths carries a heavy burden, and attunement to it comes at a cost. Every time the wielder activates Aura of Remembrance or uses Broken Oath's Smite, they suffer from the Weight of Broken Oaths:

Debuff Effect: After using either ability, you must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, you are afflicted by the Burden of Regret for the next 10 minutes:

Your movement speed is reduced by 10 feet.

You suffer disadvantage on attack rolls and Constitution saving throws due to the emotional toll of your past failures weighing on you.
