Blaze Reckoning

Your mastery of flame comes with a heavy price. When you summon fire’s full fury, the backlash scorches you in return. You can command the flames to strike with their utmost force, but the blaze does not spare its wielder.

Blaze Reckoning: When you cast a spell that deals fire damage, you can choose to deal maximum damage with that spell instead of rolling. However, this power comes at a cost depending on the spell's level:

• Cantrips and 1st–2nd level spells: You take fire damage equal to one-quarter of the spell’s maximum damage.
• 3rd–5th level spells: You take fire damage equal to half of the spell’s maximum damage.
• 6th–8th level spells: You take fire damage equal to the full spell’s maximum damage.
• 9th-level spells: You take fire damage equal to 1.5 times the total maximum damage dealt to enemies by the spell. This damage is inflicted after the spell resolves.

If you have resistance to fire damage, you instead take 75% of the calculated damage. If you have immunity to fire damage, you instead take 25% of the calculated damage.

Once you use Blaze Reckoning, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.

Flame's Empowerment: When you gain this feat, the raw power of fire burns through your soul, awakening latent potential. Choose Dexterity or Charisma. Your chosen ability is enhanced by your connection to the inferno:

• Dexterity: You gain a +1 bonus to Dexterity, up to a maximum of 20.
• Charisma: You gain a +1 bonus to Charisma, up to a maximum of 20.
