Hextech Supreme Infusions

Hextech is a magical technology that fuses elemental and celestial magic to create exquisite armaments that can be wielded by those with divine origins, not just the few people out there with a natural aptitude for armaments. It harnesses the magical power contained within you to function properly.

Hextech infusions is limited only by the imagination of their users. It is capable of amazing feats, from powering machinery to creating beams of light capable of cutting the strongest steel. Hextech devices have runes inscribed on them; when the runes are coupled with the power of other armaments from fallen constructs, it gives the device its magical bonus properties. The process of crafting hextech is a closely guarded secret, and no two artificers work to the same methodology. As such, each item of hextech infusion is a unique armament of rare beauty.

Once per long rest you may infuse your defense, support, and attack armaments with the effect of another armament of the same category as long as it is of a different grade, using the higher grade armament as the base armament and the lower grade armament effects taking up one of your infusion slots. These infusions count as one of your Artificer infusions for the day. If one or both require attunements, they take the attunement slots going by whichever has the higher grade as the base. For Support armaments, you choose which saving throw to use, and the recharge is based on the base armament. Infused Attack armaments add the damage and effects of one armament onto another, using whichever is the higher CR as the base attack (for range, area and base damage). Defensive armaments must have different effects in order to take effect, such as magic resistance can't stacked twice even if they're from different constructs. For the purposes of soul of artifice, sacrificing an infusion slot loses the added effect. For example, sacrificing a constructs CR6 slam attack infused with a CR2 fire bolt attack results in losing the fire bolt damage bonus until you can infuse again.
