Origin Feat
Prerequisite: DM's discretion
You gain the following benefits.
You have been marked by the Goddess of Misfortune, Beshaba. Her influence over your fate allows you to turn your bad luck into a weapon of misfortune for others. Every time you suffer a critical failure and accept the consequences of that failure, you gain 1 point of Unluck (to a maximum of 3 points).
You can spend these Unluck points in the following ways:
-
1 Point - Repel Critical Failure: After rolling a 1 on any d20 roll, you can immediately spend 1 Unluck point to reroll the die. You continue rerolling until the result is no longer a 1.
-
2 Points - Cancel Advantage, Impose Massive Disadvantage: When a creature you can see declares an action but before it rolls, you can spend 2 Unluck points to negate any advantage that creature has and impose Massive Disadvantage instead. The target must roll 4d20 and take the lowest result.
-
3 Points - Impose Critical Failure: When a creature you can see declares an action but before it rolls, you can spend 3 Unluck points to cause its next roll to automatically result in a critical failure (a natural 1 on a d20).
Special: You cannot hold more than 3 Unluck points at a time.
