General Feat (Prerequisite: Willing Host to Kalabash)
You have willingly accepted the entity Kalabash into your being. The Studious Passenger is sapping your essence to fuel his feverish writing in his tome of secrets. Whenever you finish a Short or Long Rest, roll a d4, and subtract that number from your total pool of spell slots. For example, if you roll a 3, you may subtract 3 Level One spell slots, or 1 Level Two spell slot and 1 Level One spell slot.
While you remain the willing host to Kalabash, you also gain the following benefits:
Preserve the Host - You can cast the spell Misty Step without expending a spell slot. You can cast the spell in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per Long Rest.
Veil of Kalabash - When you take the Dodge action on your turn, you must do so for 2 rounds instead of 1. The spirit of Kalabash capitalizes on this break in combat to feverishly write in his tome, his specter hovering over top of you as an ethereal veil. In addition to the the normal benefits of the Dodge action, you gain resistance to Slashing, Piercing, and Bludgeoning damage during this time, and your Armor Class is increased by +2.
Projected Veil of Kalabash - While under the effects of the Veil of Kalabash, you can use your reaction once per turn to project the spectral presence of Kalabash over one friendly creature within 5ft., granting them the benefits of that feature instead of yourself.
