Child of the Abyss

Child of the Abyss is a feat that represents a deep and unbreakable connection to the chaotic and ever-shifting realm of the Abyss. Those who possess this feat have attuned themselves so thoroughly to the unpredictable nature of the Abyss that its volatile essence runs through their very soul. Should they meet their end in realms outside, their essence is wrenched back into the depths of chaos, to be reborn anew amidst the swirling madness.

• Abyssal Rebirth. Upon being slain outside of the Abyss, your soul is torn from the material plane and reconstituted within the Abyss. You find yourself reborn at a location connected to your Abyssal origins, though your return requires a sacrifice deemed worthy by the twisted spirits that govern your realm. Due to this you have disadvantage on death saves while outside the Abyss.
• Chaotic Emanations. The Abyss's influence seeps from you, warping the area within a 30-foot radius. Once per long rest, activate this effect to impose disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws for creatures of your choice within this area.
• Abyssal Knowledge. Your prolonged exposure to the Abyss infuses you with forbidden lore. Gain advantage in Intelligence-based checks relating to the Abyss and its denizens, granting profound insights into their nature and secrets.
• Whispers of the Abyss. Once per day, commune briefly with an Abyssal entity to gain guidance on a chosen matter. Beware, however, for the knowledge shared is shrouded in madness, necessitating a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw to avoid temporary insanity.
• Increase your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• If the banished spell is used on you, you return to the Abyss. If they are able to focus the whole 1 minute, you are stuck in the Abyss until you can find a portal back
• You take a -2 to an ability score of your choice.
• You loose a feat to gain this one. (DM's choice)
