Lavendel: The Lavender Lord [Unique Boon]
As the Amethyst Lord, Lavendel's presence on the battlefield is a spectacle of charisma and emotional power. This boon enhances his ability to control the flow of battle, inspire allies, and demoralize foes, all while reflecting his vibrant emotional spectrum.
[Offense] - Commanding Presence:
Your commands transcend language barriers and layers of intelligence.
{1} Your “Mantle of Majesty: Command” action can now only be used 6 times per short rest, but can affect any number of creatures up to your choice that can see you or hear you. There is no saving throw for this ability, as they instantly fail. Rather than speaking one word, you can speak up to 25. A creature does not have to be able to understand you to obey, and any creature with an intelligence of 1 or higher can feel the intent behind your words, obeying. {2} Your mastery over Raulothim's Psychic Lance allows you to create your own variation of the spell. You learn the following spell and can cast it at any level without expending any spell slots:
|
Lavendel's Psychic Lance Enchantment, cantrip. (Bard) Casting Time: 1 bonus action Range: 300 feet Components: V Duration: Instantaneous Description You unleash a purple shimmering lance of psychic power from your eyes at a number of creatures up to your Charisma Modifier that you can see within range. Alternatively, you can utter a creature's name. If the named target is within the plane of existence, it becomes the spell's target even if you can't see it. If the named target isn't within the plane, the lance dissipates without effect. The target must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 15d6 psychic damage and is incapacitated until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't incapacitated, and you take half the damage dealt instead. At Higher Levels When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 1st or higher, the damage increases by 5d6. |
[Defense] - Wings of Radiant Protection:
{1} Lavendel's wings are not just for flight but a glowing beacon of protection and hope. When Lavendel is within 10 feet of an ally, he can extend his wings to shelter them, granting the following benefits: Allies within the radius make their attack rolls at advantage, and enemies attack them with disadvantage. As well as when his wings are extended, they emit a bright light in a 30 feet radius, and dim light 30 feet further. Once per long rest you can emit a ward of protection that lasts for 1 minute that grants all allies within your radius 1 point of healing per round, on the protecteds turn and THP equal to your Charisma Score.
{2} The 3rd level spell “Counterspell” is counted as a bard spell for you, and it doesnt count against your number of spells you know. it is now a reaction cast for you and doesn’t count among your prepared spell list. Using this spell also doesn’t deduct a spell slot from you. When making Counterspell checks, you roll with advantage.
[Utility] - The Bonds that Bind Us
{1} Your already existing telepathic abilities are enhanced by the Ascendant Dragon-Touched focus, allowing you to create your own version of the spell “Rary’s Telepathic Bond”. You learn the following spell. As well as learning the spell, your mastery over your mental space allows you advantage against spells that would charm or affect your mind.
|
Lavendel's Telepathic Bond Divination, cantrip. (Lavendel) Casting Time: 1 bonus action Range: 300 feet Components: At will Duration: Until dispelled. Description: You forge a telepathic link among any willing creatures of your choice within range, psychically linking each creature to all the others until they leave the plane of existence you are on. The targets can communicate telepathically through the bond whether or not they share a language. The communication is possible over any distance, though it can't extend to other planes of existence. |
{2} Your base bardic inspiration increases by one size. (1d6 to 1d8 and so on with 1d12 becoming 1d20). When you make ability checks you may roll your bardic die and add it to the result (Does not use any charges). Your countercharm removes the frightened and charmed conditions and grants immunity to those conditions for 1 minute. In addition, when you give bardic inspiration to another creature, you and one additional creature also gain bardic inspiration of 1/2 rounded down die size (1d8 grants 1d4, 1d12 grants 1d6, 1d20 grants 1d10).
[Drawbacks]:
- Radiant Fatigue: After using your Wings of Radiant Protection ward, you cannot fly for 1d4 hours.
- Name Echo: Using the ability to target someone by name with Lavendel's Psychic Lance alerts the target to Lavendel's presence, they know his exact location for the next 24 hours
- Psychic Feedback: When using Lavendel's Psychic Lance, you risk psychic backlash, taking psychic damage the full damage dealt if the target succeeds on their saving throw.
- Wings of Distraction: Attacks made against you while this effect is active are made at advantage, as well as attacks that land do an extra 3d6 psychic damage.
- Wings of Protection: When an attack on allies lands, you take half of the damage, reducing the damage taken by said ally.
- Emotional Resonance Weakness: Your glowing wings and eyes betray your emotional state when your aura is active, allowing enemies occasional insight into your thoughts and strategies. On a successful bonus action DC 19 insight check, any attacks made against you auto hit until the start of their next turn.
- Vocal Fatigue: Prolonged use of Commanding Presence (more than 3 rounds in a row in combat) imposes disadvantage on wisdom saving throws on himself until the end of the encounter.
- Arcane Drain: Each Counterspell cast reduces Lavendel's movement speed by 10 feet until the end of his next turn. When countering a spell, there's a chance (e.g., rolling a 1 on a d20) that the spell rebounds, affecting Lavendel instead, he becomes vulnerable to the damage if the spell was already targeting him (AOEs effects do not count)
- Overwhelming Aura: Allies that start combat within 60 feet of Lavendel must pass a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw to avoid feeling overwhelmed by his intense presence or be placed at initiative 0
- Emotional Instability: After using Commanding Presence, Lavendel may become emotionally unstable, causing him to act erratically. Roll 1d100 on Ravenloft's Eldritch Wild Magic table.
- Telepathic Noise: While maintaining telepathic bonds, Lavendel may experience distracting mental noise. Whenever an ally gets hit, he gains disadvantage on his next concentration saving throw
- The Charmers Smile: Upon seeing you for the first time every 24 hours, any ally who sees him must make a DC 19 Wisdom Save, or become stunned until Lavendels next turn.
