Prerequisite: Warlock level 5, Pact of the chain, must not have the Investment of the Chain Master, Investment of Cunning, or Investment of Arcana warlock invocations.
When you cast find familiar, you infuse the summoned familiar with a measure of your eldritch power, augmenting the familiar's strength.
- As a bonus action, you can command the familiar to take the attack action. When you reach 11th level the familiar can make two attacks with the same action.
- The familiar’s weapon attacks are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming immunity and resistance to nonmagical attacks.
- When the familiar takes damage, you can use your reaction to grant it resistance against that damage.
- At the beginning of the familiars turn, it gains a number of temporary hitpoints equal to half your warlock level plus your Charisma modifier.
Finally, your familiar can use an action to polymorph into a spined devil. This transformation lasts for 1 minute. While in this form, the familiar uses the spined devil's stat block. When the familiar is transformed and reduced to 0 hit points, it reverts to it's original form and any excess damage is dealt to the familiar's remaining hit points.
