Your connection to the void manifests as a spectral phantom limb, granting you unparalleled destructive potential. Spells and attacks channeled through this limb gain enhanced potency, and you can unleash devastating charges fueled by the void itself.
Benefits:
-
Amplified Casting:
When you cast a spell using your phantom limb, all damage dice for that spell increase one size (e.g., d6 → d8, d8 → d10).- Spells or effects that do not use dice gain a +2 bonus to their saving throw DC or attack roll, as appropriate.
-
Harness the Void:
As an action, you can use your phantom limb to perform a powerful charge attack fueled by the void's chaotic energy. Choose one of the following effects:- Void Slam (Melee Attack): Move up to 30 feet in a straight line, ignoring difficult terrain. If you collide with a creature, make a melee spell attack. On a hit, the target takes force damage equal to 3d10 + your spellcasting ability modifier and must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your spellcasting ability modifier) or be knocked prone.
- Void Surge (Ranged Attack): Release a burst of energy in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your spellcasting ability modifier). On a failed save, they take 4d8 force damage. On a success, they take half damage.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
-
Void Attunement:
- Your phantom limb counts as a spellcasting focus.
- You gain resistance to psychic damage.
Optional Fluff: The phantom limb is a shadowy, ethereal appendage that fluctuates in size and shape, resembling a tear in the fabric of reality. When you use your abilities, it glows faintly with an otherworldly hue, unnerving those who witness its power.
