You can instead use your unarmed strike or natural weapon attack as the material component for spells that require "a melee weapon worth at least 1 sp" in addition your unarmed strikes and natural weapon attack counts as weapons for class features and spells i.e Smites, Sneak attack and Elemental Cleaver.
• Before you make an unarmed strike or natural weapon attack, you can choose to reduce the roll by 5. If the attack hits, you add 10 to the damage roll.
