Origin Feat
Your heritage or sheer force of personality makes you exceptionally charming, meriting you the following benefits:
- You do not suffer disadvantage when making saving throws against the Charmed condition.
- When you fail a saving throw against being Charmed, you may reroll the save and choose the higher of the two results. Once you have used this feature, you can not do so again until you have completed a short rest.
- As a Reaction when you are targeted by an attack roll, you may make a Charisma (Deception) or Charisma (Persuasion) check contested by a Wisdom (Insight) check to impose disadvantage on the attack roll and subsequent attack rolls from that source until the start of your next turn. Once you have used this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, you can not do so again until you have completed a long rest.
- Once per long rest, you may use an Action to attempt to charm a humanoid (or a creature once you've reached character level 7) you can see within 30 feet using alluring words (which is subject to Counterspell). It must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier), and it does so with advantage if you or your companions are fighting it. If it fails the saving throw, it is charmed by you for 1 hour or until you (but not your companions) do anything harmful to it. The charmed creature is friendly to you. When the effect ends, the creature knows it was charmed by you. If it succeeds on the saving throw, the target regards you as indifferent and will not directly attack you (but also won't necessarily exclude you from areas of effect).
Alternatively, you may use this feature once per long rest (no action required) to bolster another charm ability or spell you have by increasing the number of targets by one (similar to the 2024 Twinned Spell Metamagic option). That additional target is subject to the above charm effect (doesn't end when your allies harm it and success against your save results in indifference), except that the DC is set based upon that ability or spell used rather than the formula given above. - You have disadvantage on all Charisma (Intimidation) checks. This disadvantage cannot be canceled out by Advantage gained by any means, including the Charmed condition itself.
