You have struck a dark bargain with a devil, granting you infernal power in exchange for mortal vulnerability. The terms of this pact come with both boons and burdens, including Infernal Immunities and weaknesses, charisma boost fueled by dark forces, and devil's sight at short ranges.
When you take this feat, you may describe the appearance of your infernal pact. Perhaps your eyes glow faintly red, your shadow flickers with infernal shapes, or your skin radiates a faint warmth. This deal often comes with a price beyond the mechanical changes—whether it’s a debt to the devil, an infernal mark, or whispers of temptation that haunt your thoughts.
"The devil’s power is yours—but you are bound to its terms."
-
Infernal Immunities: You gain immunity to necrotic and fire damage, as the dark flames of the Nine Hells protect your flesh and soul.
-
Infernal Weaknesses: You gain vulnerability to radiant damage and damage from silvered weapons, as divine light and purity pierce through your infernal defenses.
-
Devil's Sight: You gain the ability to see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 30 feet.
-
Dark Charisma: Your Charisma score increases by 2, to a maximum of 20.
Curse of the Infernal Pact: The devil's deal comes at a cost beyond physical vulnerabilities:
- Infernal Whisper: At the DM’s discretion, the devil who granted your power can occasionally whisper in your mind, urging you toward actions that further its schemes. Resisting these whispers requires a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw.
- Infernal Mark: A visible mark of the devil's bargain manifests somewhere on your body, such as a glowing sigil, burning scar, or blackened veins. This mark cannot be hidden by mundane means and reveals your infernal pact to anyone who sees it. This mark will label you as a fiend if you are within range of a Detect Evil and Good spell.
- Price of Power: Once per long rest, when you roll a natural 1 on an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, the devil enforces its claim on your soul. For 1 minute, you lose all control of your character, possibly causing them to reek havoc on your allies or doing heinous acts of unforgivable villainy.
