Prerequisite: Requires a Constitution score of 13 or higher.

Your experience with consuming the flesh of other creatures has unlocked unusual resilience and sinister power. This taboo practice grants you the following benefits:

Benefits:

  • Gruesome Feast: When you consume the flesh of a creature that has died within the last hour, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. This benefit can only be used once per short or long rest.

  • Taste of Power: If the creature you consume has spellcasting abilities or innate magic, roll a d6. On a roll of 5 or 6, you recover a spell slot of a level equal to or lower than half the creature’s highest spell level (rounded down, minimum 1). You can use this feature once per long rest.

  • Adapted Immunity: By consuming the flesh of creatures with certain resistances or immunities (e.g., poison or disease), you can gain resistance to that damage type for 1 hour. You must spend at least 10 minutes eating, and this effect ends early if you use this feature again.

Drawbacks:

  • Horrifying Act: Most creatures find your practice abhorrent. You suffer disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks when interacting with NPCs who witness or hear of your actions.

  • Sinister Appetite: Once you take this feat, your character gains a strong craving for fresh flesh. If you go longer than 3 days without consuming meat (humanoid or beast), you suffer disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws until you satisfy the craving.
