Your body requires arcane sustenance from the Weave to maintain its constitution. Each day, you require 2 charges of sustenance. A single charge can be obtained by:
- Gaining or losing hit points as the result of a magical effect.
- Converting one of your spell slots into arcane sustenance.
- Converting one of your hit die into arcane sustenance during a short rest. You do not receive any healing from the hit die.
- Concentrating for 5 minutes on consuming the essence of a magical item. This makes the item mundane. The item cannot be armor, a weapon, or more than Uncommon in rarity. You cannot use this action once your body has acquired its arcane sustenance for the day.
You suffer one point of exhaustion for each charge you fail to acquire each day.

Posted Jun 21, 2021This was created for one of my players' backstory. His character had no face because a group of jealous wizards attacked him and magically removed it. As a result, he had to see via an Ersatz Eye that was mounted in his hat, and this feat provided the mechanic for how he "ate." So if it looks like a feat no one would normally want, please understand it was only a part of a story.
