Celestial Hunger Feat.
The dark star craves energy, and through you, it devours light and life.
• Benefit: When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can siphon its energy to regain hit points equal to your level. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
• Curse: After using this ability, the dark star’s power leaks into the world around you, corrupting it. Roll a d4 to determine the phenomenon:
1. A nearby flame is extinguished, and light sources within 10 feet dim for 1 minute.
2. Plants within a 10-foot radius wilt and die.
3. Small objects (such as coins, trinkets, or utensils) hover for a moment before clattering to the ground.
4. A creature of the DM’s choice within 10 feet hears a faint whisper in an incomprehensible language and must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw or become distracted (losing their reaction until the end of their next turn).
• Roleplay Effect: As you drain life from another, these strange effects ripple outward, marking your presence as something unnatural. This could cause unease in allies and provoke fear or suspicion in others who witness it.
