You gain the ability to grow roots from your body that can ensnare and tug enemies around.
You gain the following benefits.
Sprouting Will: You gain sprout charges equal to your proficiency bonus. While on the ground, as an action, you may expend sprout charges to grow roots from your body equal to twice the charges expended. You may have no more than 4 roots sprouted at one time. While your roots are planted, you have advantage on saving throws against being knocked prone while you are grounded. Roots last until destroyed or dismissed as a free action.
Entangling Roots: While you have roots active, as a bonus action, you may target a creature within a 30 foot radius and 15 foot high cylinder centered on you. One root is required to target a medium or smaller creature, doubling the required roots to target a creature of the next larger size (two roots for a large creature, four for a huge creature, etc.). The creature makes a dexterity saving throw, equal to your spell save DC, triggering one of the following effects on a failure:
- The targeted creature is moved up to 15 feet in one direction. A creature moved in this way does not trigger opportunity attacks.
- The targeted creature becomes grappled by the roots. While grappled in this way, a creature is also restrained. A creature successfully escaping the grapple destroys all the roots used to restrain it in the process.
