Apprentice Reliquarist Image
Prerequisite: Novice Reliquarist

The Reliquary specialization is an essential branch of the Hunter’s Guild, dedicated to the intricate study and utilization of monsters. Reliquarists are scholars and scientists as much as they are hunters. Their primary focus lies in acquiring valuable monster parts, studying monster biology, and creating potent countermeasures such as potions, antidotes, and other alchemical concoctions. This specialization requires a combination of fieldwork, meticulous research, and a deep understanding of both the natural and supernatural elements within the world.

Potion Crafting

Reliquarists craft potions using harvested monster parts. To create a potion, they must have the necessary ingredients, water, and a vial, then make a Medicine check against the DC associated with their tier.

  • Novice: DC 11
  • Apprentice: DC 12
  • Journeyman: DC 13
  • Expert: DC 14
  • Master: DC 15
  • Grandmaster: DC 16

Features:

  • Monster Harvesting Expertise: You have advantage on harvesting rolls when extracting monster parts.
  • Bombardier: At the apprentice level, you may choose instead to focus on bomb crafting and weapon coating instead of potion making. If you do, you may now craft powerful weapon coatings and throw alchemical explosives, but you may no longer craft healing or utility potions.
    • Using bombs requires an action. Players will make a ranged attack roll with a range of 30/60 feet. Each bomb will require a bomb shell, gun powder, and the required ingredients for the target bomb. If another guild specialization attempts to use a crafted bomb, they must make the roll at disadvantage.

Advancement Requirements:

  • Successfully harvest useful parts from 7 different CR 3-5 monsters.
  • Create 5 intermediate potions using harvested parts.
