You mastered the arcane arts Must be taken at 18th level or higher
- Increase your Intelligence score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you are already proficient in the skill, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with it.
- You can turn 1 third level spell into a Cantrip
- At Level 20 you absorb spells and magic that hits you and negate the damage and learn the spell. This can be used 5 time per short or long rest.

Posted Jan 29, 2019Lets see, There are a few things wrong with it.
one, the level requirement means that it's bound to be way too strong to be a feat. You should look into making it a magic item of sorts.
Second, a third level spell into a cantrip? Counterspell or dispell Magic can now have no cost, making the person the worlds easiest counter mage. Thunderbolt is now cast practically every turn. That or you now have a ton of wall spells to choose to make it really defensive feat.
Third, and i think the most outrageous thing, You can negate 5 spells but you *also* get to learn the spells. and that's 5 times a short rest. This is like, legendary magic weapon status. It's too much.
