Fey beings are commonly known to be charismatic and well-spoken story-tellers, negotiators, or tricksters. There are, however, those of higher power who have the ability to take such articulation and infuse their will into the bargains they strike or favors they grant. These individuals are known as Deal Makers.

When you take this feat, you gain a +1 bonus to your choice of Intelligence or Charisma to a maximum of 20.

You gain the ability to make magically binding deals with other sentient entities. For a deal to take place, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The Deal Maker must set the terms of the deal. These terms may be negotiated prior to solidifying the deal.
  2. The Deal Maker must state the consequences if the deal is broken.
  3. The Deal Maker must make physical contact with the entity that they are making a deal with. This could be a handshake, an arm over the shoulder, etc.
  4. The conditions of the deal must be accepted in full by the other entity at some point within the bargaining process.

Deals cannot be made with any entity that has an Intelligence score below 6. You may have a number of active deals equal to your proficiency bonus. If you have the maximum number of deals available to you active and attempt to make a new deal, you automatically forfeit control of one of your other active deals, which will count as you breaking that deal if applicable terms were set.

At level 10, you no longer need to make physical contact with the entity they are making a deal with. At level 14, you no longer need to state the consequences of breaking the deal. At level 20, you may have one active deal that was put in place against the will of the opposing entity.

Non-intentional deals can be made at the GM's discretion if at least three out of the four listed conditions are met.
